Cody Martin: OF/OF, (2024) Reynoldsburg, OH. 6-foot-4, 185-pound. (66.2 mph bat speed average). (19.5 mph hand speed average). Begins in a tall stance with a small load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is developing, exhibits a short level swing plane and good extension on his finish. Line drive approach. From the outfield, he showed plus arm strength by making throws to the infield at velocities up to 88 mph.
Cody Martin: OF/RHP, (2024) Reynoldsburg, OH. 6-foot-4, 182-pound. (67.7 mph bat speed average). (21.1 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a quick stride. Bat speed was efficient, had a simple flat swing plane and high finish. Solid in the outfield, he used momentum and arm strength to record throws up to 93 mph;shows quick feet, a clean exchange, and soft hands. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Had a very quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. The athletic recruit showcased his speed with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.72.

Started in a tall balanced stance with a controlled smooth load, then used a short quick stride. Had quick explosive bat speed, short upward swing plane and high finish. Barreled up lots of balls with loud contact. Aggressive gap to gap approach. Athletic above average in the outfield, he showed a plus arm and had life on his throws with a position velocity of 92 mph;shows soft sure hands, athletic smooth feet, and a clean fluid exchange. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. (Max spin ; Avg ).
Cody Martin: OF/RHP, (2024) Reynoldsburg, OH. 6-foot-3, 170-pound. At the plate, Martin's best exit velocity was 94 mph. (66.8 mph bat speed average). (23.1 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a quick load, then used a controlled small leg kick. Has quick bat speed, loose uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 83 mph; shows a natural exchange, consistent feet, and sure hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Used a high ¾ slot and a consistent loose arm action. On the mound, showing consistent arm speed he had a clean arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher and shows easy effort. Produced a fastball that came in at 75-76 mph. (Max spin 1863; Avg 1772). Shows slurvey action on his 11/5 curveball (62-66). (Max spin 1757; Avg 1684). His changeup (71-72) shows some action. Ran a 3.99 30 yard dash.

6-foot-3, 150-pound lanky frame. Raw in the box, Martin's best exit velocity was 76 mph. Starts in a balanced stance with a small controlled load, then uses a controlled stride. Has some bat speed. Line drive approach. Athletic recorded an outfield position velocity of 83 mph; had athletic choppy footwork, and sure hands. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball to the side. Recorded a 60 time of 7.11 at the event. Projectable on the mound, had a high ¾ arm angle and good arm speed. Tall-and-fall type pitcher and uses some effort. Changeup (69-70 mph).Sat with his fastball at 74-77 mph; had some action and consistent control. His 11/5 curveball (56-60) had gradual action.
Hit: Like what I saw in the box from the Reynoldsburg product. Twitchy stroke with above average strength and speed to hands. Solid round showing the ability to square the baseball up frequently. Very solid round.
Power: Gap pop.
Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles.
Max BP Exit: 82mph.
Max BP Distance: 286ft.
Field: Good athlete with quality ball skills. Plays fast and with confidence.
Throw: Ball jumps. Above average arm strength.
Defensive Projection: Multiple spots.
Scouting Notes: Fast-twitch actions on the mound, working exclusively from the stretch. Quick arm coming from the right side out of a high-3/4 slot. Fastball is heavy and changeup has good sell to it. Also spins a breaking ball with big, gradual action.
Fastball: 68-73mph.
Fastball Spin Rates: 1600-1700rpm.
Breaking Ball: 53-54mph.
Breaking Ball Spin Rates: 1500-1600rpm.
Changeup: 62-64mph.
