Cody Newsome: 3B/RHP, (2026) Archbishop Carroll, OH. 5-foot-11, 160-pound. (65.7 mph bat speed average). (21.1 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced quiet stance with a controlled load, then used a quick stride. Bat speed was efficient, showed a simple upward swing plane and high finish. Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 72 mph; shows choppy feet, a natural exchange, and sure hands. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Had a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. On the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action while showing consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows some effort. Had slight running action. (Max spin 2064; Avg 1904). His 11/5 curveball had gradual action. (Max spin 2101; Avg 2065).

Started in a tall stance with a choppy handsy load, then used a leg kick. He produced some loud contact and found a couple of barrels. Solid capable his best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 71 mph; showed a clean developing exchange, sure developing hands, and choppy in control feet. Laterally, movements were average and fielded the ball to the side. Projectable capable on the mound, has an over-the-top arm angle with good quick arm speed. Feel type pitcher and shows some effort. Showed consistent balance point with uphill shoulders. Lands soft and open with upright finish.  (Max spin 2073; Avg 2017).
