2/9/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: Pauley shows a simple, repeatable delivery and throws from a ¾ arm slot with a short, quick arm action. Moves well overall. Fastball: The fastball was 86-89 mph with some life through the zone. Curveball: His breaking ball was 72-74 mph with slurvey shape and tight spin. Changeup: The changeup was 77-78 mph. Pitchability: Three pitch mix shows good consistency in the zone. Breaking ball still shows some room for growth.
2/9/20 Position Player Hit: At the plate Pauley used a leg kick load and seemed to get into his back hip fairly well. Showed a mostly linedrive approach with a level bat path. Good natural bat speed. Power: 79 mph exit velocity. Offensive Projection: Should be able to develop into a gap to gap guy. Field: In the infield he showed average footwork and rhythm with good physical tools. He showed fairly good instincts and good glove skills. Naturally quick arm with more in the tank. Throw: 84 mph across the diamond. Defensive Projection: Could potentially play all infield spots. How he develops physically and refines skills will dictate which spot makes the most sense.

Body Type: 6-foot, 160-pound thin, athletic frame frame. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: On time with a very quick, loose arm. Delivery was explosive at times. Shows signs of a high velocity guy down the road. Fastball: 80-84 mph. Late arm side movement with the ability to make adjustments on the mound to locate on both corners of the mound. 1,900-2,100 spin rate with low 90% efficiency on Rapsodo. Curveball: 68-71 mph. Tight, 11/5 breaker with some depth to it. Shows potential. Pitchability: In the zone consistently with fastball, with breaking ball being in/out throughout outing. Additional Comments: High follow guy in the ‘22 class.
Body Type: 6-foot, 160-pound thin frame. Swing Mechanics: Small leg kick while keeping his hands loose and loaded. Swing works. Hit: Level bat path with a middle of the field approach. Stays inside the baseball well. Good feel in the box. Power: Line drive guy right now with more to come as he develops. Offensive Projection: Top of the lineup guy. Field: Plays under control throughout sequence in the infield. Athleticism shows out there. Looks to be sure-handed. Throw: 3/4 righty with respectable strength and more to come. Defensive Projection: Multiple infield spots.
