Colton Blankenship: RHP/3B, (2022) Little Miami, OH. 6-foot-1, 205-pound solid frame. During batting practice, Blankenship clocked an exit velocity of 86 mph. Started in a tall stance with a controlled load, then used a leg kick. Had a short flat swing plane, and his bat speed was average. Capable while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 76 mph; shows sure hands, a clean exchange, and average feet. Movements laterally were average and he fields the ball one hand. On the mound, using a consistent arm action he showed good arm speed from a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses high effort. Showed a strong balance point. Sat with his fastball at 80-81 mph; shows arm side control and running action. Has gradual action on his 11/5 curveball (67-68). His changeup (74-75) showed fading action and arm side command.
