Darren Ramsey: RHP/SS, (2025) Lancaster, OH. 6-foot, 150-pound. At the plate, Ramsey had an exit velocity of 80 mph. Began in a quiet athletic stance with a quick load, then used a controlled stride. Has a short simple swing plane, efficient bat speed and high finish. Solid while in the infield, made throws up to 74 mph; shows consistent feet, a natural exchange, and soft hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action. On the mound, showed consistent arm speed, also used a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses easy effort. Sat with his fastball at 77-79 mph. Had slight running action. (Max spin 2114; Avg 2043). Throws a 11/5 curveball (60-62) that has slurvey action. (Max spin 1823; Avg 1794).
