Derek Strawser: LHP/OF, (2026) Canal Winchester, OH. 5-foot-6, 120-pound. (55.3 mph bat speed average). (19.2 mph hand speed average). Starts in a quiet stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed is developing, uses a short simple swing plane and high finish. Solid his best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 68 mph; has a natural exchange, consistent feet, and sure hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. On the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a clean arm action while showing consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows easy effort. Had slight running action. (Max spin 1598; Avg 1564). His 1/7 curveball showed some action. (Max spin 1950; Avg 1911). His 2/8 slider shows late action. (Max spin 1955; Avg 1910).
