Have to like the combination of upside and present skill set. 6-foot-4, mid 80s fastball with almost certainly more in the tank as he continues to fill out. Also featured a quality 4-pitch mix with feel for the zone.

Dominic Poltrone: RHP, (2022) Avon Lake, OH. 6-foot-4, 235-pound. Projectable on the mound, had a high ¾ arm angle and a compact arm action with good arm speed. Slow-tempo type pitcher and shows some effort. Balance point is tall with in line shoulders during delivery. a falling off finish. Curveball (75-77 mph), changeup (80-81 mph), slider (77-79 mph). Threw his fastball 84-86 mph.

Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses easy effort. Tall balance point with in line shoulders. Has an athletic finish. Curveball (69-72 mph), changeup (74-75 mph).Threw his fastball 79-82 mph. High follow arm that should continue to add velocity. High ceiling. 

Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in an upright setup. Simple, yet efficient load followed by a balanced launch. Path plays well allowing for early entry/late exit and natural lift. Strength stands out while bat speed is developing. Backspun the ball consistently to the middle of the field.
Power:Flashed gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Middle of lineup.

Field:Looks comfortable over at first base. Plays with a feel for the position. Ball skills play over there.

Scouting Notes:Physical presence on the mound with pitchability. Fluid actions with an easy release. Did a nice job of mixing his offerings and showed obvious confidence in the breaking ball. Fastball velocity plays up due the ability to mix the breaker in often. Strike thrower.

Body Type: 6-foot-2, 220-pound uber physical frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Slower paced tempo to a delivery that has some effort to it. Long loose arm through a high-¾ slot. Young kid that is one to look out for once he grows into frame.
Fastball: 74-77 mph. Mostly true through the zone with a bit of arm side action.
Curveball: 62-64 mph. 11/5 shaped breaking ball with gradual action. Projects to be an above average offering.
Changeup: 71-72 mph. Playable offering that has decent sell to it.
Additional Comments: Definite arm to follow in the upcoming years. Big kid with athleticism for frame. Once he grows into himself you will see improvements on the bump.

Swing Mechanics: Shows a back load with hands during his knee pinch timing trigger.
Hit: Physical hitter for class. Path has some loft and he has feel for the barrel. Middle of lineup frame and skill set.
Power: 84 mph exit velocity. Young hitter with power potential.
Offensive Projection: Middle of the Lineup Potential.
Run: 9.04 60-yard dash.
Field: Frame for the first base position. Well coached with feel over there. Solid defender.
Throw: Loose arm that projects for more strength.
