5/29/18 A right-handed hitter that in a balanced setup. Hands flow through loading sequence, with a slight bat tip at launch. Uses a knee pinch followed by controlled stride to get lower half going Path is level with slight uphill tendencies at times. Natural tools are developing. Contact guy at this stage with more to come as physical maturation takes its course. Generated most natural ball flight to oppo gap. Laced a line drive to left field in game. Behind the dish he shows fluid action with room to quicken up both feet and transfer. Arm strength is developing. Showed the willingness to block in game. 6/6/17 On the mound the right-hander works exclusively from the stretch. Has an easy leg lift and stays tall at balanced point. Delivery is smooth and requires some effort. Works through a high-¾ slot with his fastball sitting 79-82 mph. Commanded the pitch well and works off it. Only showed secondary stuff a few times, offering a curveball and changeup. Breaking ball has an 11/5 shape to it with some sharpness at 66-68 mph. Changeup is playable at 76-77 mph. At the plate he starts in a balanced setup with his barrel vertical. Uses a short stride for timing while keeping hands simple. A strong kid with a quick bat. Path is level and he showed feel for the barrel. Middle of the lineup type guy. At first base he showed obvious feel for the position with impressive glove skills. Well above average athlete for the position. Checks all the boxes defensively. 60-yard dash: 6.9 Infield Velocity: 75 Exit Velocity: 92
1/29/17 A right-handed pitcher with a big, strong frame and long legs. Showed a solid three-pitch mix. Arm works well through a high-¾ arm slot. Fastball sat 80-82 mph with some arm side run. Change up is a very good pitch thrown with fastball arm speed and hard downward action at 69-72 mph. Curveball has good bite in a near 12/6 shape at 67-68 mph. A right-handed hitter that starts in a wider, balanced setup. Takes his hands to launch during his short stride forward. Impressive strength through contact with big time bat speed. All offensive tools translate to the next level. Produce impressive pop with little movement. Has power potential in there. Projects to be a well above average defender at first base. Glove skills and lateral mobility are there and he has feel for the position. One of, if not the top defenders at first base on the day.
