Starts in a wide balanced stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a toe tap stride. Bat speed is electric, displays a short loose swing plane and balanced level finish. He found lots of barrels with loud contact. Aggressive gap to gap approach. Advanced from the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 78 mph; has next level hands, in control consistent feet, and a clean fluid exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had athletic slot and a short quick arm action with consistent accuracy to the base.  (Max spin ; Avg ). 

 OF/RHP, (2024) Mentor, OH. 5-foot-10, 160-pound. In the box, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 80 mph. (63.4 mph bat speed average). (18.5 mph hand speed average). Began in an athletic quiet stance with a small load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed was efficient, used a simple short swing plane and high finish. Solid from the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 78 mph; shows consistent feet, a natural exchange, and sure hands. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Had a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. Clocked a time of 7.27 in the 60-yard dash.  

Evan Calderwood: OF/RHP, (2024) Mentor, OH. 5-foot-9, 150-pound. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 82 mph. (62.3 mph bat speed average). (17.9 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced quiet stance with a controlled load, then used a toe tap stride. Bat speed was developing efficient, showed a simple flat swing plane and high finish. Solid from the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 78 mph; shows a clean exchange, quick consistent feet, and soft hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Showed a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. On the mound, showed a high ¾ arm angle and a consistent arm action with developing arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows easy effort. Produced a fastball that came in at 68-70 mph. Showed slight running action. (Max spin 1545; Avg 1449). His changeup (62-65) had some fading action. Ran a 4.04 30 yard dash.

Started in a balanced stance with a high quick load, then used a toe tap. Had a level swing plane and average bat speed. Solid in the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 75 mph; had a clean exchange, sure hands, and athletic footwork. Fielded the ball one hand with athletic movement laterally. Clocked a 60 time of 3.90 30 yard dash at the event. On the mound, showed consistent arm speed with a ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses easy effort. Has an athletic balance point. Produced a fastball that came in at 67-70 mph; has arm side control and running action. Had gradual action on his 11/5 curveball (63-66). Showed fading action and arm side control on his changeup (62-64). Had gradual action on his 11/5 slider (60-62).

Swing Mechanics: Balanced stance. Uses a short stride during back load with hands.
Hit: Balanced launch with a level path to contact. Finds plane well. Made consistent barrel contact and showed the ability to use all fields.
Power: 64 mph exit velocity.
Run: 4.9 H-1st.
Field: Recorded pop times of 2.41-2.49. Also worked out in the outfield where he showed aggressive feet and developing ball skills.
Throw: 60 mph from the crouch and 61 mph to home plate.
