Jackson Duncan: RHP/1B, (2022) Northmont Senior, OH. 6-foot-5, 240-pound. Solid at the plate, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 91 mph. Started in an open tall stance with a smooth controlled load, then used a toe tap. Bat speed is quick. Barreled up multiple balls with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was registered at 78 mph; had consistent footwork, soft hands, and a natural exchange. Movements laterally were athletic. Clocked a 60 time of 8.37 at the event. Solid on the mound, showed good arm speed, also used a compact arm action and a ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher who shows some effort. Tall balance point with in line shoulders. Lands square with a clean finish. Curveball (66-69 mph). Produced a fastball that came in at 81-84 mph.

1/18/21

Hit: Much like on the mound the physicality is obvious. 6-foot-5 physical dude that is an efficient mover, showing 10-15gs of rotational acceleration. Also showed above average bat speed and feel for contact.
Power: Easy gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Run Producer.
Field: First baseman whose frame/skill set plays at the position. Lateral mobility will need to continue to develop but flashed solid ball skills.
Throw: More than enough strength for the spot.
Defensive Projection: 1B.

Delivery/Scouting Notes: Intimidating presence on the mound at 6-foot-5, 250-pounds. Intent driven delivery that comes together well considering length to levers. Up to 84mph today with reports of him up to 87mph. Secondary stuff is still developing but size/velo make him very interesting. High ceiling as he continues to fine tune movements/arsenal as there's no doubting the engine.
Fastball: Up to 84mph, heavy pitch.
Breaking Ball: Slows arm a bit on the offering that comes in on an 11/5 plane.
Changeup: Changeup has average sell with regular fade to it.
Pitchability: In/out.
