Fastball showed arm side run and was consistently in the zone. Breaking ball was impressive. The pitch showed depth and sharpness, working on a near 12/6 plane. 1/29/17 5-foot-7, 160-pound prospect. The southpaw works through ¾ slot. The delivery is choppy with multiple pause throughout. His Fastball was 67-73 mph with cutting action when thrown to the bottom of the zone. The changeup was thrown with near fastball arm speed. The pitch has cutting action and ranged 59-65 mph. He also showed a 1/7 breaking ball. The pitch has a shorter break and sat 54-59 mph. Starts slightly open at the plate prior to his leg kick load and controlled stride. Noticeable whip through the zone on a level path. Showed above average bat speed through the zone with gap to gap pop. Would be aided by adding rhythm to his loading sequence. Was able to produce backspin on his line drives to the opposite field gap. Defensively, he shows natural feel for the outfield position. Projects as centerfield type but needs to improve arm strength for the next level. Approaches the ball in smooth, aggressive manner. Good momentum through receiving the ball. Uses a crow hop and throws through high ¾ slot with top velocity of 74 mph.
