Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.8.
Jacob Schmidt: 2B/SS, (2026) Beavercreek High School, OH. 5-foot-6, 110-pound lean slim frame. (59.8 mph bat speed average). (20.7 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced crouched stance with a small load, then uses a short controlled stride. Bat speed was efficient, displayed a short uphill swing plane and high finish. He produced some loud contact and found lots of barrels. Gap to gap approach. Capable in the infield, his best throw was registered at 67 mph; has a fluid exchange, consistent hands, and choppy feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Showed consistent accuracy to the bag with a short arm action and an-over-the-top slot.
