Jaedin Hurd: OF/RHP, (2023) Holy Name, OH. 6-foot-1, 195-pound. During batting practice, Hurd had a max exit velocity of 96 mph. (67.2 mph bat speed average). (20.9 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced athletic stance with a quick load, then uses a controlled leg kick. Bat speed was flashed quick, displayed a loose uphill swing plane and good extension on his balanced finish. Solid in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 83 mph; has consistent feet, a fluid exchange, and sure hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a high ¾ slot with a loose arm action. Clocked a time of 7.5 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle with a clean arm action while showing consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses easy effort. Sat with his fastball at 79-82 mph. Has slight running action. (Max spin 1629; Avg 1515). Threw a 11/5 curveball (72-74) with slurvey action. (Max spin 1879; Avg 1809). He shows slight action on his changeup (76-78).
