Talented arm out of Moeller that stands at 6-foot-7, with athletic build. Does a good job incorporating the lower half in his delivery before using a near over the top arm slot. Fastball was one of the best of the day which sat 85-87 mph with late life and ASR. Kies also mixed in a hard 12/6 CB thrown at 73-74 mph which he displayed a very good feel for. Also mixed in a changeup that is thrown near fastball speed at 75-77 mph.

6-foot-7, 210 pound tall athletic build. On the mound he shows a very smooth delivery with regular effort. Shows good direction to the plate landing on line at foot strike. Shoulders have an uphill path prior to foot strike. Throws from a high ¾ slot with quick arm speed. Fastball sat 80-81 mph. Curveball sat 67-70 mph with little break. Changeup was thrown with near fastball arm speed at 76-77 mph.
