Jake Vasil: LHP/1B, (2022) Kenston High School, OH. 6-foot-3, 192-pound. In the box, Vasil recorded an exit velocity of 87 mph. Starts in a tall balanced stance with a small controlled load, then uses a short stride. Found some barrels during his rounds. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 79 mph. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.53. Projectable on the mound, had a long arm action and a ¾ arm angle with some arm speed.

Hit:Right-handed hitter that begins in an athletic, open stance. Simple loading sequence for regular timing. Path works slightly uphill with natural lift. Poolside approach in BP.

Field:Worked out from the 1B position. Ideal frame for position. Comfortability around the bag is present, with serviceable ball skills.
Throw: Accurate thrower, with serviceable arm for position.

Delivery/Scouting Notes: 2022 LHP out of Kenston with a smooth delivery and clean arm action through the zone. Ball comes out at a high ¾  arm slot which creates a tough downward plane. Tall frame allows for great extension throughout his release.
Fastball: jumps out of hand and is true through a downward plane
Breaking Ball: Tight, heavy breaking ball with gradual depth
Changeup: Good speed differential, straight

Hit: Right-handed hitter that starts in a tall, open setup. Moves with good tempo and launches form back side. Path is uphill with natural flight to the gaps. Physical dude with above average bat speed.
Power: Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Middle.
Max BP Exit Velocity: 79 mph
Max BP Distance: 280 ft
Field: Frame and skill set for first base, plays with controlled tempo off the bag, ball skills appear to be serviceable.
Throw: Arm works, accurate thrower.
Defensive Projection: 1B.

1/25/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Brother of D1 commit. On the mound the southpaw has a physical presence with long levers. Arm works well. Very loose. Could see more mphs down the road.
Fastball: Definitely has some arm side action to it with occasional sink. Sat in the upper 70s.
Fastball Spin Rate: 2070-2160.
Curveball: Sweeping breaking ball that works with substantial horizontal action. Looks to have feel for the pitch.
Curveball Spin Rate: 1800-1900.
Changeup: Above average offering. Decent feel for it. Regular fade.
Pitchability: Strike thrower for the most part.

1/26/20 Position Player
Hit: Righty swinger that uses a small leg lift during slight back load to hands for pre launch movements. Physical kid with an aggressive stroke. A bit rotational but when he connects it gets off the bat well. 
Power: Gap abilities with more to come. 
Offensive Projection: Middle frame and skill set. 
Top Rapsodo BP Exit Velocity: 95 mph. 
Top Rapsodo BP Distance: 386 ft.
Field: Frame and skill set for the first base position. Moves with solid lateral mobility off the bag. Looks comfortable over there. 
Throw: Big arm for the spot.
