James Waterman: 1B/RHP, (2026) Copley, OH. 6-foot-2, 160-pound. (62.3 mph bat speed average). (18.7 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced stance with a controlled load, then used a quick stride. Bat speed was efficient, used a simple flat swing plane and high finish. Solid in the infield, his best throw was registered at 64 mph; had consistent footwork, a natural exchange, and sure hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Showed a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. On the mound, showed consistent arm speed, also used a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses some effort. Began in a tall pre-loaded stance with a smooth load, then used a small leg kick. Had a simple swing plane, efficient bat speed and high finish. He barreled up multiple balls with some loud contact. Pull side approach. Smooth capable in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 66 mph; had athletic footwork, a clean exchange, and sure hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Showed a quick arm action and uninterrupted slot with decent accuracy to the bag. Capable on the mound, showed developing arm speed with a ¾ arm angle and a moderate arm action. Tilt-and-topple type pitcher and shows some effort. Showed consistent balance point and in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish.  (Max spin 2029; Avg 1975).
