Joey Flanigan: LHP/1B, (2024) Wadsworth, OH. 6-foot-2, 165-pound. (66.0 mph bat speed average). (17.3 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a quick stride. Has a loose uphill swing plane, efficient bat speed and high finish. Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 69 mph; had firm hands, choppy footwork, and a natural exchange. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Had a loose consistent arm action with a high ¾ slot. On the mound, showed consistent arm speed, he had a high ¾ arm angle with a loose arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Showed slight running action. (Max spin 1726; Avg 1659). His 1/7 curveball had gradual action. (Max spin 1926; Avg 1839). His 2/8 slider shows late action. (Max spin 1958; Avg 1895).
