Body Type: 6-foot-1, 185-pound thin frame.
Swing Mechanics: Athletic loading sequence, combining a leg kick with a bat tip.
Hit: Uphill bat path that works to the pull side with natural ball flight to the middle part of the field.
Power: Line drive guy right now. Top exit velocity during BP was 77.9 mph.
Offensive Projection: TBD.
Field: Athletic defender off the bag over at first base. Well above average lateral mobility with a quick release. Ball skills fit the position.
Throw: Accurate arm with developing strength.
Defensive Projection: 1B.

A left-handed bat that starts in a balanced setup. Goes with a double tap for timing while keeping hands simple as he rolls into launch. A contact guy that takes a slightly uphill path to contact. Hands have present quickness to them through the zone with developing strength. Top of the lineup skill set with loudest contact going to pull side. In the outfield he plays low and under control. Actions are fluid to and through fielding. Arm strength profiles him in left field presently. Really liked what I saw at first base from Current. Plays fast with obvious athleticism for the position. Also displayed well above average ball skills. On the bump the southpaw works with good tempo to a delivery that requires little effort. Offers a fastball/breaking ball combo through a high-¾ slot. Fastball will stay mostly straight through the zone at 62-64 mph. Breaking ball has gradual action on a 1/7 plane at 57-58 mph.
