Game Performance

Notes

Comments

1/20/20

Hit: Upright setup with a small leg lift for timing. Vertical barrel launch gives him a running start into contact. Worked in the middle of the field in BP. Solid feel for contact.
Power: Line drive pop.
Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles.
Top Rapsodo BP Exit Velocity: 91.
Top Rapsodo BP Distance: 230.
Field: In the outfield he shows passive actions. Plays through the ball well with good footwork and a smooth transfer on his throws.
Defensive Projection: Corner OF

1/20/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Moves well on the bump. Southpaw with a smooth delivery and athletic movement patterns. Velo ceiling is much higher than the present mphs you see on radar gun.  71-74 mph.
Fastball: Regular arm side action. Pitch comes out of a near 3/4 slot.
Fastball Spin Rate: 2000-2200
Curveball: Sliderish look to it. More depth than action. 65-68 mph.
Curveball Spin Rate: 1900-2100
Changeup: Solid pitch with late cutting action when working glove side and some fall when working arm side.
Pitchability: Strike thrower.

1/21/19 Pitching

Body Type: 5-foot-10 140-pound prospect with room to add strength and size.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes:
Threw from a low ¾ arm slot. Adding strength will increase the repeatability of his delivery.
Fastball:
70-73 mph fastball with some fade to the arm side. Showed better command to his glove side with the pitch.

Slider: 65-66 mph breaking ball showed slider shape and action. He maintained good arm speed on the pitch and it had good depth.

Pitchability: Solid command of his two pitch mix, particularly to his glove side.

Role: Quality slider to go along with his fading fastball makes him a good candidate as left handed bullpen arm.

1/21/19
Body Type: 5-foot-10 140-pound prospect with room to add strength and size.

Swing Mechanics: Balanced stance. Hands stay quiet during leg kick timing trigger.

Hit: Smooth swing with the barrel traveling on a slightly downhill trajectory to contact. Hands are loose, creating natural whip of the barrel through the zone. Sprayed line drives to the middle of the field. Speed plays a slightly bigger role than strength to his swing.

Power: 80 mph exit velocity. Present gap abilities with more to come.

Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles. Good athlete with a loose swing.

Run: 6.95 60-yard dash.

Field: In the outfield he shows athletic actions, playing under control too and through. Ball skils are above average for class. Solid defender.

Throw: 76 mph arm strength to home plate. Arm works. More strength to come.

Defensive Projection: Looks to be functionally athletic enough to play all three spots.
