7/12/17 Behind the plate, he starts in an athletic stance with his heels in the ground. Transfers the ball quickly to the ear while throwing from a 3/4 slot. Displays developing footwork and arm strength. A switch hitter at the plate. Looks to be a legit switch guy who swings with more intent from the right, showing a more efficient swing from the left. Swing has more movement from the right, where he incorporates a toe turn and launches from a vertical barrel position. Path is level, generating gap to gap pop. Solid young bat who should grow into a run producer with maturity. Behind the plate he showed above average catch and throw skills for his class. Footwork creates direction and transfer is clean. Ball comes out of his hand well with some carry to his throws. 60-yard dash: 8.07 Catcher Velocity: 68 Pop Times: 2.07-2.18 Exit Velocity: R88, L81
7/26/16 6-foot-2, 198-pound strong frame. A switch hitter that has similar look from both sides. From the right side he has more pop and a flatter path. From the left side he has more rhythm and is more consistent. Slightly ahead from the left side but looks to be a legit switch hitter moving forward. Top exit velocity from the right was 82 mph and 78 mph from the left. Behind the plate he registered pop times of 2.52-2.58, and threw with 68 mph arm strength. Transfer and footwork will need to get quicker moving forward. Ran an 8.34 60-yard dash.
