Mason Perkins: SS/2B, (2022) Summit Country Day, OH. 5-foot-11, 175-pound. During batting practice, Perkins displayed an exit velocity of 97 mph, 3rd Best EV of the day. Started in an athletic balanced stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed is explosive, has an uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Capable in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 78 mph; has sure hands, developing consistent feet, and a natural exchange. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Had a high ¾ slot with a long arm action. Solid on the mound, showed consistent arm speed, also used a high ¾ arm angle and a long arm action. Slow-tempo type pitcher and uses easy effort. Threw his fastball 80-82 mph. Shows slight running action. He showed a 11/5 curveball (70-71). He shows fading action on his changeup (75-76).
