8/12/18
A righty swinger that starts in a taller stance. Uses a slight back load with hands as lower half flows through knee pinch for timing. Load is fluid and creates energy. Level stroke with more strength than speed to hands presently. Long lever type that can do damage when he gets extended. Feel for squaring up the baseball. Third baseman that has soft hands and moves light on his feet. Glove works well and transfer is clean. Loose arm that projects for more strength. Two-way prospect. On the mound the righty works with fluid tempo to his low effort delivery. Looks the part out there physically at 6-foot-2, 160-pounds and room to add. Works through a high-¾ showing long clean arm action. Ball comes out well with fastball sitting 81-83 mph. Go to secondary offering looks to be the breaking ball and for good reason. Quality offering that has depth and sharp action on an 11/5 plane at 66-68 mph. Also showed a  playable changeup near fastball arm speed at 73-74 mph.

On the bump the right-hander has a slower paced tempo to his low effort delivery. Arm works well through a high-¾ slot. Projects for more arm speed and strength as he fills out his athletic frame. Fastball will sit 78-80 mph, staying mostly true through the zone aside from occasional cut to outer half. Breaking ball travels on a near 12/6 plane with present bite and developing depth. Tossed the pitch in the zone frequently at 64-67 mph. Changeup completes his arsenal, using near fastball arm speed and showing some fade to it. An arm to follow as he adds strength and takes the next step velocity wise. At third base he uses quick, choppy footwork in his approach. Reacts well off the bat, showing a quick first step. A good athlete with above average lateral mobility for the spot. Ball skills are above average for class, making all the plays in his defensive eval. At the plate he keeps his hands quiet during his double tap load and controlled stride. Path shows some natural loft with more speed than strength to hands. Worked mostly to the middle of the field, spraying line drives. A contact type guy presently who has more to come as he fills out his projectable frame.
