Matthew Osler: LHP/OF, (2021) Mayfield, OH. 5-foot-9, 160-pound athletic frame. Capable during batting practice, Osler's best exit velocity was 81 mph. Begins in a balanced stance with a small controlled load, then uses a short stride. Had a simple swing plane and average bat speed. Found some barrels through his rounds. Line drive approach. Solid in the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 82 mph; has a natural exchange, average feet, and sure hands. Clocked a 60 time of 7.65 at the event. Athletic on the mound, used an short arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows some effort. Athletic balance point. Lands square. Curveball (68-70 mph), changeup (72-74 mph).Sat with his fastball at 76-80 mph.

Body Type: 5-foot-8, athletic build at 140-pounds.
Swing Mechanics: Lefty bat that uses a knee pinch to get lower half going as barrel flows to a vertical launch. Very smooth mover.
Hit: Compact, level path with natural whip through the zone. Hard ground ball/low line drive guy. Used the right side of the field for the majority of his BP. Swing offers more present speed than strength.
Power: 69 mph exit velocity. Line drive pop.
Offensive Projection: Top of the lineup/ball mover type.
Run: 7.58 60-yard dash.
Field: Fluid actions with developing ball skills. Does a nice job playing one-handed through the baseball. Moves well out there.
Throw: 70 mph arm strength to home plate. Long back arm action through near over the top slot. Arm is relatively clean with developing speed/strength.
Defensive Projection: LF
Body Type: 5-foot-8, 140-pound, LHP with small, thin pitching frame
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Stands tall throughout his windup and has a good downhill pitching plane. Casually gets off his backside with little to no effort. Normal ¾ arm slot, that stays clean and fluid. Little to no effort on the mound, fluid delivery and release.
Fastball: FB has downward run away from RHH at 68-70 mph.
Curveball: CB is developing with little 12/6 depth at 62-64 mph.
Changeup: CH has little downward run away from RHH at 65-66 mph.
Pitch ability: Stays around the strike zone and with maturity, will have better command of his 3 pitch mix
Role: Reliever
Additional Comments: Could potential add more velocity as he matures in high school.
