Body Type: 6-foot-1 190-pound frame.
Swing Mechanics: Starts in a slightly open stance with a balanced setup. Minimal load and showed good barrel control and kept barrel in the zone.
Hit: Had good barrel control and was able to square balls up well. More of a line drive approach.
Power: Decent pop. More of a line drive, gap to gap kind of power. Don’t see true power potential but still strong with the bat.
Offensive Projection: Checks the boxes offensively for a catcher. Enough pop to drive balls into the gaps and will hopefully be able to be consistent at the plate.
Run: 5.0 home to 1st
Field: Showed good actions behind the plate. Had good feet and a quick, smooth transfer on his throws down to 2nd. 1.99-2.10 pop time range.
Throw: Had a quick arm. Had a velo of 76 mph on his throws to 2nd.
Defensive Projection: Good actions and movements behind the plate. Guy to follow as he gets stronger and his raw arm strength improves.
