(19.0 mph hand speed average). Starts in an athletic quiet stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed was present, showed a simple upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid in the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 90 mph; had sure hands, a natural exchange, and consistent footwork. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Had a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.79. On the mound, showing consistent arm speed he used a high ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows some effort. Sat with his fastball at 87-89 mph. Has slight running action. (Max spin 2298; Avg 2184). His 11/5 curveball (72-73) showed slurvey action. (Max spin 2203; Avg 2197). He shows some fading action on his changeup (77-80). His cutter (81-83) had late action.

1/25/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: A guy college coaches will be out to see this spring. Moves well on the mound with long back arm aciton through a high-3/4 slot. Obvious strength and speed to arm without a ton of effort. Fastball: Jumps out the hand at 84-86 mph. Could easily see more mphs in the tank. Fastball Spin Rate: 1960-2100. Curveball: Power breaking ball with decent spin to it. Flashed a few with quality action. Also showed a slider that was the better of the two breakers on the day. Late, sharp action. Curveball Spin Rate: 2200-2330. Changeup: Completes his arsenal with one of the more quality changeups we saw on the day. Real action to it with good sell. Pitchability: Filled it up for the most part.
