Nicholas Gutzwiller: 1B/LHP, (2023) Elder High School, OH. 6-foot-1, 205-pound. During batting practice, the left-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 88 mph. (66.6 mph bat speed average). (22.0 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a controlled stride. Has quick bat speed, uphill simple swing plane and high finish. Used a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.24. On the mound, showed consistent arm speed, he had a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Threw his fastball 77-79 mph. Had slight running action. (Max spin 2025; Avg 1912). His changeup (72-75) had late action.
