2/6/19 Body Type: 6-foot-2, 195-pound uber physical, athletic frame. Swing Mechanics: Right-handed hitter that starts in an athletic stance. Load works well/creating timing and balance. Hit: Obvious physicality with an intent driven swing. Ball really jumps of bat, showing some of the more raw power we saw on the day. Advanced strength for class. Power: 82 mph exit velocity. Much louder BP than exit velocity would indicate. Offensive Projection: Middle of Lineup. Run: 8.09 60-yard dash. Field: Ideal frame for the first base position with above average athleticism. Ball skills are on par for class. Behind the dish he recorded pop times of 2.07-2.13. Throw: High-¾ righty that throws with intent. Defensive Projection: C/1B.
2/7/18 A physical bat from the right side. Uses a smooth back load with hands during his knee pinch movement with lower half. Launches from a balanced position, taking a slightly downhill path to contact. Strength is ahead of bat speed but not by much. Has a middle of the lineup look to him with gap to gap abilities. At first base he looks athletic off the bag. Glove works well and he looks comfortable at the spot. Does a nice job of creating throwing lanes with his feet on double play balls. Behind the dish he showed quickness to both feet and transfer. Tends to pop up out of stance during transfer. Arm is on par for class. Offers arguably his most projectability on the mound. Arm is loose and delivery requires little effort. A candidate for a velocity jump in the near future. Presently sits 70-73 mph with the heater. Breaking ball and changeup were both consistently in the zone. The breaker has big gradual action on an 11/5 plane at 62-63 mph. Changeup has a true look as it comes in at 63-64 mph. Knuckle was impressive. Showed heavy dance and he had solid feel for the offering.
60-yard dash: 8.33
Pop Times: 2.19-2.25
Catcher Velocity: 69
Infield Velocity: 74
Exit Velocity: 81
2/9/17 6-foot, 170-pound prospect. A righty swinger that starts closed prior to his leg kick load and controlled stride. Hands stay simple and get the bat through the zone on a level path. Swing is compact with barrel direction going towards left field mostly. Was at his best when he worked the middle of the field. A strong kid that has some bat speed in there. At first base he showed smooth actions and confidence in his glove. Moves well laterally. Looked comfortable to his forehand side. On the mound, the right handed pitcher displays an average frame. Smooth tempo to delivery while throwing with short arm action through a ¾ slot. Features consistent command with his fastball that sits between 66-70 mph. Working on an 11/5 plane, his breaking ball displays gradual break at 57-60 mph. Changeup sits between 61-62 mph while displaying some arm-side movement. Also mixes in a 57-59 mph knuckleball.
