6/16/20 Pitching Scouting Notes:Follow on the mound. Loose armed lefty with much more to come as he adds physicality to his athletic frame. Showed the ability to locate the fastball to both sides of the plate and mixed secondary offerings well. Breaking ball looked like the primary secondary of choice but the changeup showed promise. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Slow tempo delivery that doesn’t require much effort. Shows good direction moving down the mound. Opens a little early at times.
Fastball: 67-69 mph fastball works out of a ¾ slot. The pitch has some natural arm side run.
Curveball: 53-54 mph curveball works on a 1/7 tilt with developing depth. The pitch shows early at times.
Changeup: 60-61 mph changeup is thrown with near fastball arm speed and shows late fading action.
Pitchability: Solid three pitch mix for the 2022 grad. Does a nice job slotting his pitches. Doesn’t presently possess any plus offerings but they should improve with maturity.
