Owen Meacham: OF/1B, (2023) Painesville Riverside, OH. 6-foot, 173-pound. In the box, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 90 mph. (64.3 mph bat speed average). (20.3 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced tall stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed is quick and shows a simple flat swing plane. Solid from the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 78 mph; had soft hands, a natural exchange, and consistent footwork. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Showed a high ¾ slot with a loose arm action. Ran a 4.26 30 yard dash.

Owen Meacham: OF/1B, (2023) Riverside, OH. 6-foot, 166-pound athletic frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 90 mph. Started in a balanced stance with a smooth load, then used a short stride. Bat speed was average, and showed a level swing plane. Athletic in the infield, his best throw was registered at 74 mph; has soft hands, a clean exchange, and athletic feet. Athletic in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 77 mph; had a clean exchange, soft hands, and athletic consistent footwork. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Clocked a 60 time of 4.16 30 yard dash at the event. On the mound, showing good arm speed he used a high ¾ arm angle with a quick arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows some effort. Has an athletic balance point. Sat with his fastball at 70-72 mph; had running action and arm side command. His 11/5 curveball (55-58) shows gradual action. Had fading action and arm side command on his changeup (62-64). 

Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Fluid, simple load that leads to a mostly balanced launch. Level path with a rotational sequence to contact. All field abilities with more natural flight to the middle of the field.
Power:Developing natural tools. Contact type bat.
Offensive Projection: Table setter.
Max BP Exit:84 mph
Max BP Distance:272 ft
Field:Smoother actions in the outfield. Plays under control too and through. Ball skills are on par for class
Throw:High-3/4 righty with developing strength.
Defensive Projection:Corner guy.

2/8/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Meacham threw from a ¾ arm slot with a long stroke in the backside of his arm action.
Fastball: Fastball was 67-70 mph and true through the zone.
Fastball Spin Rate:1300-1420
Curveball: Breaking ball was 52-57 mph and showed a downward tumbling type action.
Curveball Spin Rate:1490-1500 
Changeup: Changeup was 61-64 mph with some fade and depth at times.
Pitchability: Average feel for his three pitch mix. Changeup is currently the more advanced of his two secondary pitches. Breaking ball will improve when thrown with more aggressiveness and arm speed.

Hit: Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Goes with a small leg lift for timing during back load with hands. Path has some loft and both strength and speed are apparent in stroke. Aggressive swinger who can do damage when squared. Noticeable burst.
Power: Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection:Run producer ceiling.

Field: In the infield he plays with direct feet. Ball skills are serviceable. Plays with an uptempo pace. Also worked out in the outfield where he looks to be a more natural defender. Tempo speeds up and he has more confidence in the glove out there.
Throw: Long arm action through a near over the top slot.
Defensive Projection:  OF.

Body Type: 5-foot-11, 156-pound thin frame.
Swing Mechanics: Wide stance with a simple load that has minimal movement.
Hit:  Level bat path that gets inside the baseball well and goes to all fields.  Good feel in the box.
Power: Line drive guy right now.
Offensive Projection:  TBD.
Field: In the outfield he plays with good tempo and fluid actions. Ball skills appear to be on par for class. Also worked out at first base. Smooth actions off the bag with respectable ball skills.
Throw: 3/4 righty with developing strength.
Defensive Projection: OF/1B.

Swing Mechanics: Simple mechanics that leads to a balanced launch.
Hit: Some of the more raw power we saw with the younger group. Physical kid with above average natural tools for class. Ball comes off well and he has feel for contact. Impressive performance.
Power: 81 mph exit velocity.
Run: 4.93 H-1st.
Field: Worked out at both first base and the outfield. Frame plays at first base and in the corners. Mechanically sound at both spots with fluid actions.
Throw: 65 mph from the infield and 69 mph from the outfield.
