Notes

Comments

6/11/19

Body Type: 6-foot-2, 155-pound lengthy frame.

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Long arm action that really reaches back during load.Slightly late getting up on time. More left in the lower half not being slow but not explovie yet.

Fastball: 75-78mph. Apparent arm side run being in and out of the zone.

Curveball: 60-62mph curveball moving on a 12/6 plane. 65-66mph slider on a 10/4 plane with movement that slices across the plate. Both pitches were in and out of the zone.

Pitchability: Needs to be more consistent in the zone.

Body type: 6-foot-2, 155-pound thin and athletic frame.

Swing mechanics:  Very short and simple load.  Hands stay loaded through contact.

Hit:  Middle back approach with natural ball flight to the middle of the field.  Level bat path.

Power:  Present strength with developing bat speed.

Offensive projection:  To be determined.
Field: An infield that flashes the ability to create angles. Plays low and maintains rhythm through sequence. Ball skills are on par for class.
Throw:
Average strength. Could have more in the tank.
Defensive Projection:
3B.

5/29/18
A right-handed hitter that in an athletic setup. Barrel starts and accelerates from a near vertical position. Creates energy with lower half through weight shift into contact. Ambush type that takes a slightly downhill path to contact. Wiry strong with some whip through the zone. A line drive swinger with gap abilities. Much more to come as he adds strength to projectable frame. An infielder that worked out a third base. Plays low and under control prior to fielding, displaying quiet footwork. Hands are soft and glove looks to be reliable. Displayed developing arm strength across the diamond. Much more arm to come as he matures. Worked out both at third base and short with more of a third baseman profile presently. On the bump he is a long levered type that works with a slower paced tempo. Delivery doesn’t require much effort. Arm moves through a near over the top slot. Slot creates a downhill plane on his 70-75 mph that otherwise is mostly true through the zone. Also spins an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with gradual action at 55-58 mph.

6/13/17
A right-handed hitter that starts in a taller setup. Starts his loading sequence early and does a nice job of gathering his weight prior to his forward movement. An ambush type hitter that creates solid energy with his lower half. Path was mostly level and barrel has some whip to it. Ball came off his bat well when he was on time. Also showed some project ability on the mound. Frame has a ton of room to add strength, with long limbs. Arm moves through a high-3/4 slot with developing arm speed. Uses both sides of the plate with his 65-73 mph fastball. The pitch was mostly in the zone, when he missed it was arm side. Spins a 10/4 mph breaking ball that showed signs of sharpness at 51-55 mph. Slows his arm a bit on his changeup. Has solid feel for the pitch that had late fade to it 58-60 mph. On the infield plays tall at the SS position. Throws from a high ¾ arm slot with a long, loose action. Uses a direct approach to minimize the distance on throws across the diamond.
