A two-way prospect in the 2021 class. Ritchie has a very projectable 6-foot-3 frame with a ton of room to add strength. On the bump he has a slower paced tempo to his low effort delivery. Transitions through his low leg lift into his stride, using a tall and fall load. Arm moves through a near ¾ slot, displaying developing arm speed. Fastball shows slight run, sitting 65-66 mph. Offers a 10/4 shaped breaking ball that has gradual movement through the zone at 52-56 mph. Also showed feel for a changeup and the ability to maintain arm speed. At the plate he starts in a balanced setup from the right side. Barrel starts in a more vertical position prior to flattening during his short stride forward. Bat has some lag as it travels through a level path to the baseball. A contact type guy at this stage with developing natural tools. Registered a top exit velocity of 59 mph. In the outfield he plays under control in his approach. Fields the baseball in the middle of his body prior to transitioning into his crow hop. Threw with 68 mph arm strength to home plate. A young prospect who’s best days are ahead of him as he fills out/grows into his projectable frame.
