A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.

Line drive approach. Capable while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 78 mph; has average feet, and consistent hands. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.45. Solid on the mound, showing some arm speed he had a ¾ arm angle with a loose arm action. Feel type pitcher and uses some effort. 2/16/20
2/16/20 Position Player Hit: Balanced setup from the right side. Goes with a toe turn timing trigger during back load to hands that leads to a mostly balanced launch. Path is slightly downhill with more present speed than strength to hands, however both tools project for much more as he still has a ton of room to fill out his athletic frame. Generated most true ball flight while working through a middle-back approach. Power: Top rapsodo exit velocity was 69.8 mph in BP, while top rapsodo distance registered at 221 feet. Offensive Projection: Table setter. Field: Plays with an uptempo pace in the infield that calms a bit prior to fielding. Ball skills appear to be on par for class and he has some urgency to transfer. Throw: Showed 76 mph arm strength across the infield. Loose, ¾ arm with more strength to come. Defensive Projection: Corner look to him.
2/16/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: Higher upside arm on the mound. 6-foot, longer lever type who is far from his physical ceiling. Has some feel out there and shows physical signs of more velocity in the tank. Fastball: ¾ slot generates natural running action on the pitch that was up to 79 mph. Expect easy velo gains with maturity. Curveball: Sharp offering, slurvish look to it, solid present grade with potential to be even better down the road. 70-72 mph. Changeup: Decent sell on the offering that had similar run to heater. Also used a knuckle to complement changeup that had impressive dance at times.
