Ryan Kowalski: RHP/OF, (2022) Elyria, OH. 6-foot-2, 155-pound projectable frame. Solid on the mound, showing quick arm speed he had a ¾ arm angle and a long arm action. Slow-tempo type pitcher who shows some effort. Tall balance point with even shoulders. Has an athletic finish. Curveball (67-71 mph), changeup (75-77 mph).Sat with his fastball at 79-82 mph.
6-foot-2, 155-pound projectable body frame with longer limbs. On the mound he throws with regular effort to his delivery while incorporating some torque with his lower half, landing more closed at foot strike. Has some quickness to his arm speed coming from a low ¾ slot. Fastball is true through the zone ranging from 79-81 mph. Curveball has a slurvy look to it on an 11/5 plane with good depth at 68-69 mph. Slider has sinking action with good shape and tighter break to it than his curveball giving hitters a different look at a breaking pitch at 70-71 mph. Changeup is thrown near fastball arm speed between 69-70 mph. Right-handed hitter starts from an open stance striding back to even at foot strike. Keeps hands closer to his body swinging with a mostly level bat path through the zone finishing with a one-handed follow through. Showed the ability to hit the ball to both sides of the field during his round of batting practice reaching an exit velocity of 80 mph.
