On the bump the right-hander has a slower pace to a delivery that requires some effort. Arm action is short and compact. Works through a high-¾, showing more strength than speed to his arm. Fastball was consistently in the zone, staying mostly true with occasional arm side action at 80-83 mph. Breaking ball has an 11/5 shape with gradual action at 59-61 mph. Maintains arm speed on the changeup that was anywhere from 73-75 mph. Will need to be in the zone more often with the offering moving forward. A third baseman with quiet feet and soft hands. Fields the ball out in front of his body prior to funneling to middle and showing a quick exchange. Ball skills are average for class. At the plate he shows a back load with hands during his stride forward. Strength and bat speed both show in his downhill path through the zone. Solid feel with the barrel, especially to opposite field gap. More of a line drive guy now but flashed some gap abilities. At first base he has the frame for the spot and looks to have feel for the position. Feet work well off the bag, creating efficient angles for a quick transfer on double play balls. Glove is an above average tool and he gets rid of the ball quickly. Solid defender.
