Pierce is a 6-foot-0, 170-pound OF/RHP who represented Team Pennsylvania at the 2012 Midwest Future Games. Pierce has above average arm strength and and advanced approach to hitting. He has an explosive lower half and excellent bat speed through the zone. He led the Youngston Class "B" League in most offensive categories this past summer.

9/24/12 Pierce showed why he was invited to participate for Team Pennsylvania at the Under Armour Midwest Future Games in August. He showcased a solid 80mph bat exit speed along with an 81mph fastball from the hill. Pierce worked three solid innings on the weekend also displaying a 64-66mph curveball that he consistently threw for strikes.
