Tanner Lenhart: OF/RHP, (2022) Northmont, OH. 5-foot-9, 160-pound athletic frame. In the box, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 86 mph. Started in a crouched stance with a quick load, then used a controlled stride. Has developing bat speed, an inside-out swing plane and good extension on his finish. Up the middle approach. Confident from the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 78 mph; showed sure hands, a natural exchange, and rhythmic feet. Showed a long arm action with a high ¾ slot. On the mound, showing developing arm speed he had a high ¾ arm angle with a compact arm action. Up-tempo type pitcher who shows easy effort. Produced a fastball that came in at 73-76 mph; shows tailing action with tight movement. Threw a 11/5 curveball with gradual action.
1/18/21
Hit: Upright setup with a double tap timing trigger that flows to a balanced launch. Very loose, whippy stroke that is on plane forever. Very solid round, working line to line with natural spin. Power: Gap abilities. Offensive Projection: Top of lineup. Field: One of the better defenders we saw in the outfield on the day. Attacks the baseball with an aggressive/confident tempo but maintains fluidity to actions. Ball skills are above average. Throw: Arm works, projects more velo down the road. Defensive Projection: Multiple Spots.
Delivery/Scouting Notes: Arm to follow in 2022 class. Works with good tempo out there with confident actions on the mound. Creates solid energy down low and arm is loose/whippy through a near 3/4 slot up top. Fastball: Upper 70s offering with substantial run and sink to it. Breaking Ball: Tight, late breaking offering that he has obvious feel for. More than enough action to miss barrels. Changeup: Well above average offering with quality run/sink. Pitchability: Filled it up.
