The 6-foot-9, 260-pound right-handed pitcher has a large, soft frame. From a 3/4 arm slot, Cherry uses long arm action and quick arm speed to generate a 90-94 mph fastball that shows arm side run. In addition to his 4-seam and 2-seam fastball, he uses an effective 85-86 mph sinking changeup. His curveball, which shows 10/4 break, sits at 78-79 mph while his slider, which can be flat at times, stays around the same velocity.
