5/29/18
A lefty swinger that starts in an athletic setup. Gets things going with a leg kick timing trigger, keeping hands quiet until launch. Path is level mostly with slight downhill tendencies at times. A line drive type guy who has feel for the barrel. Sprayed a backside single in game. A mechanically sound outfielder that plays low and fast. Fields through with above average ball skills. Transfer is timely, prior to showing left/centerfield type arm strength. Solid defender. On the bump he uses a big rocker step followed by a fluid, chest high leg lift. Lower half created good direction and he gets down the mound well. Arm is compact and clean. Fastball is mostly true through the zone, sitting 73-76 mph. Spins a 1/7 shaped breaking ball that has gradual action at 60-62 mph. Also showed a changeup with fade to it at 60-61 mph.

5-foot-5, 134-pound thin frame. At the plate the lefty starts in a tall athletic setup. Creates excellent energy into contact through an aggressive stride. Hands stay simple before taking a level path to the ball. Line drive hitter at this stage but mechanics should translate to added pop as he matures physically. Registered an exit velocity of 71 mph and ran a 4.43 from home to first. In the outfield he takes aggressive routes to the ball and is able to play through. Has confidence in his glove. A more efficient crow hop should improve his 72 mph arm strength to home plate.
