Body Type: 6-foot 185-pound prospect with an athletic build. Swing Mechanics: Starts in a medium setup and utilizes a toe tap to initiate his load. Swing is smooth and balanced. Shows a mostly on plane bat path that keeps his barrel through the zone.
Hit: Good ability to drive the ball gap to gap with line drives.
Power: 93 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Not a ton of natural lift to his swing but shows ability to drive the ball well gap to gap. As he matures could potentially flash more power. Good offensive upside for a catcher.
Run: 4.88 home to 1st.
Throw: 70 mph from behind the plate.
Field: 2.00-2.16 pop time. Behind the plate he showed average footwork with a pretty quick, efficient arm path and exchange.
Defensive Projection: Shows the skills and adequate physical tools to be a catcher at the next level. At what level will depend a lot on his ability to quicken up and make his movements behind the plate more efficient.
