2/9/17
6-foot, 160-pound prospect. At the plate he showed a very fluid swing from the left side. Mechanically efficient with above average bat speed. A type of guy that could fit anywhere in the lineup. Showed the ability to use both sides of the field in batting practice. Has gap to gap pop with impressive pop to pull side. Brings athleticism to the first base position. Footwork is fluid and athletic while getting off the bag. Glove skills are there. On the mound, the left handed pitcher uses a smooth delivery while throwing through a ¾ slot. Fastball consistently sits between 70-73 mph with some slight arm-side run. Features two breaking pitches. Curveball displays sweeping like action at 63-66 mph. Slider acts much like a cut fastball while sitting between 66-68 mph. Also mixes in a 67-69 mph changeup.

6-foot, 166-pound athletic build. On the mound the left handed prospect shows a very controlled and repeatable delivery. Shows good direction to the plate, finishing square. Throws from a high ¾ slot with average arm speed. Fastball sits 68-70 mph. Curveball sits 60-64 mph with gradual break on a 2/8 plane. Slider sits 65-67 mph with a gradual break. At the plate he uses a simple approach from the left side to consistently square balls up in batting practice. He uses an easy hands back load as he takes a short stride forward and takes a slightly uphill path to the ball. Reached a top exit velocity of 67 mph with more left in there. At first base he move well laterally and was able to field the ball out in front of his body. From a ¾ slot he threw with 65 mph arm strength across the diamond. Ran a 4.54 from home to first.
