Delivery Notes: Solid mechanics with just some small flaws within it. Delivery is a bit stiff with the lower half and the compact ¾ arm action.

1/26/19 Pitching

Body Type: 6-foot 175-pound prospect with an average build.

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Slow tempo delivery, works across the body. Soft landing at foot contact. Uses a short arm action working out of a ¾ slot.

Fastball: 67-71 mph fastball was mostly straight with occasional sinking action when down in the zone.

Curveball: 63-64 mph curveball works on an 11/5 tilt with developing depth. The pitch has good rotation and should sharpen up as hand speed improves.

Changeup: 64-65 mph changeup is thrown with fastball arm speed. At times the pitch showed slight sink and run to the arm side.

Pitchability: True three pitch mix, good feel for the zone with all offers. Breaking ball is best offering and looks to be an above average pitch in the future.

Body Type: 6-foot 175-pound prospect with a somewhat average frame.

Swing Mechanics: Starts in a balanced setup. Uses a leg kick load and his barrel is quickly in and out of the zone.

Hit: Shows a pull tendency with below average contact ability.

Power: 71 mph exit velocity.

Offensive Projection: Presently projects a line drive approach with singles and potential to add strength to work for more extra base hits.

Field: In the outfield he is very aggressive at the ball. Could maybe benefit from being a little more under control. Got the ball out his hand quick once it was fielded.

Throw: 72 mph from the outfield.

Defensive Projection: Presently projects as a corner OF guy at the next level.

In the outfield he plays with a slower tempo to the baseball. Plays two-handed through the baseball to ensure ball security. Picks up tempo as he transitions through fielding into his pro step for momentum. Threw with accuracy to home plate. A right-handed hitter that starts in an open setup. Goes with a double tap for timing while taking hands back to launch. Barrel shows some lag through the zone, working on a slightly uphill plane. Swings is compact with developing natural tools. Contact type guy at this stage. On the mound the right-hander offers a three pitch mix out of a high-¾ slot. Delivery is lower effort and repeatable. A tall and fall type guy. Fastball will stay mostly true through the zone, sitting 66-69 mph. Spins a big, gradually moving curveball with an 11/5 shape at 58-60 mph. Also offers a changeup that has some fade to it.
