10/14/18 A right-handed hitter that starts in a slightly closed setup. Uses a leg lift for timing as hands flow through back load. Compact stroke with obvious physicality through the zone. Strength is obvious but bat speed is also an above average tool. Crushed line drives in BP. Has all the tools to hit for power if he can add some loft to path. Stroked a double down the LF line in game. In the infield he plays with fluid, clean actions. Ball skills are average to above average for class and he plays with confidence. Clean transfer with accuracy throws across the diamond. Looks the part of a high school shortstop who likely slides to third down the road. Two-way prospect on the mound. Very impressive outing, striking out all five hitters he faced in his 1st inning of work. Goes with a slower paced tempo on the bump to a delivery he repeats. Arm comes through an over the top slot, creating a very downhill plane on his 78-82 mph fastball. Go to secondary offering is the breaking ball. Displays excellent feel for the 11/5 shaped breaker that froze hitters/produced swing/miss all day. Used the heater go get ahead and breaking ball to put away. Infield Velocity: 78 Exit Velocity: 90
