5-foot-9, 160-pounds, Williston is an academic position player to follow. There's some pop with hand control, topping out at 85 mph with his exit velo. The tools are there to build on. Functional movements at his selected positions C/OF, showing off 70 mph throws behind the dish and pop times ranging at 2.00 - 2.11. Transitioning to the OF, he showed well again at 77 mph. A good watch over the next few months as we see what he does throughout the summer and into the fall.

The 5-foot 9, 160-pound Williston is an exciting find for 2021 class.  As a player who can use the bat with some pop with reasonable hand control topping out at 85 mph with his velo, the tools are there to build on. Functional movements at his selected position C/OF showing 70 mph behind the dish and the pop times ranging at 2.00 - 2.11.  Transitioning to the OF, he showed well again at 77mph.  A good watch over the next few months as we see what he does throughout the summer and into the fall. High Academics play a major role with Williston to allow for multiple options and avenues.

2.10.19
Williston, a 5-foot-8, 150-pound catcher is an intriguing player in the 2021 class. From the right-side, Williston leans back to start, before coming forward and generating an exit velocity of 77. He demonstrates barrel control, showing the ability to make hard contact often on pitches all around the plate. Behind the plate, Williston ranged around 2.09-2.27, displaying some quickness before unleashing a 70 mph throwing velocity. Williston shows ability on both sides of the field, and as he physically matures, he will be an interesting catcher to watch in his class.

3.31.18
A young 2021 catcher who still has plenty of time to grow and mature physically. Lots of moving parts in his swing, Williston will eventually need to quiet his load and stay more compact in the box. Hands work quickly with a flat bat path through the zone. Behind the plate, Williston has quick transfers, shows some athleticism and lower half agility. With added strength, will decrease pop time. Overall, a nice first look at a young 2021 catcher, will be an interesting follow in the coming years.
