Anderson was one of the elite players during Spring Training, leaving the weekend having turned heads of anyone in attendance. The right-handed hitting shortstop showed rhythm and timing at the plate allowing him to square up anything that was thrown his way. He displayed power, recording multiple extra-base hits, as well as showing the ability to shorten up and hit hard line-drive singles. The actions in the infield were controlled and fluid, allowing for no concerns about his ability to man his position. His body movements, glove actions and positioning allow him to make all the routine plays before letting off throws up to 83 mph. The 2019 grad shouldn't be available for long after his weekend in paradise.

2.19.18
At 6-foot, 160-pounds, Anderson has plenty of room to add more size and muscle to his frame. Runs a straight 7.31-second 60. At the plate, shows some tools, has a line-drive approach with not a lot of moving parts. Starts off with an open stance from the right side of the plate, brings hands back during load into proper launching position, uses a slight leg kick, and drives through the zone with a good extension. May be able to develop some gap-to-gap strength as he matures and adds more strength. In the infield, Anderson needs to focus on improving the fluidity in his movements and struggles to consistently transfer the baseball from glove to throwing arm cleanly. Arm works, able to get some carry on the ball and make throws to first with accuracy. An uncommitted 2018 grad, Anderson should get some looks over the summer season and has the tools to be a nice fit for some college baseball programs.
