Zhang is a very tall  two-way player, with a need to add more mass to his 6-foot-6, 195-pound frame. At first base showed that he was able to transfer the ball quickly and arm had some carry on the ball. At the plate, Kevin uses a toe tap load, use his upper half well, has a good extension with natural lift on his swing and some bat speed. Has line-drive ability offensively. On the mound, Zhang works from a H-¾ arm slot, fastball was up for most part of his bullpen, can use his height to create more leverage and angle to his fastball at 75 mph, changeup had some running action while curveball has an 11/5 shape with gradual break. Zhang has good length, but must continue to work and fill out this year.
