3/26/17 Speedy uncommitted senior infielder with a strong arm and some whip through the zone from the left-side of the plate. Ran day's best home to first time of 4.13. Defensively, arm was 85 mph across infield, made all the plays and athletic enough to make play on the run. Hands worked with some softness and showed quick first step. At the plate, quiet and balanced, front side gets turned to load with hands back, swing can get steep at times but still managed to get extension and barrel out front. Exit velocity was 83 mph. Peppered balls up the middle and stayed within himself. Solid player who has arm and quickness to be versatile. H-1st: 4.13 INF Velocity: 85 Exit Velocity: 83
4/10/16 listed a 5-foot-6, 155-pounds, Diluca has room to mature physically. Offensively, the left-handed hitting middle infielder started from a wide stance with a front toe turn to stride, with hands back and in a small, quick waggle with the bat. Transfers weight well in lower half, brings hands forward from small load to contact with bat speed through the zone. Bat path worked slightly uphill, worked more to pull side, exit velocity was 81 mph. Defensively, funneled balls clean into body, moved well with athletic actions, arm was loose and quick with a top velocity of 81 mph from the infield. 2017 grad with tools to work with as he continues to develop.

Body Type: 5-foot-7, 170-pound athletic frame with some physicality. Swing Mechanics: Uses a rhythmic bat tip during small leg lift load form the left side. Load comes together well, typically leading to a balanced launch. Hit: Compact stroke that travels on a most level path to contact. Swing shows some loft. Flashed authority to pull side with more of a spray approach to opposite field. Power: 88 mph exit velocity. More pop than frame would suggest. Has the tools to run the gaps with ease as both strength and speed are apparent in swing. Offensive Projection: Top of the lineup guy with sneaky juice. Run: 6.8 60-yard dash. Field: Looks the part in the infield. Very quick, efficient feet with well above average ball skills. Can pick it. Always locked in in game/very good pre pitch. Athleticism shows on the defensive side of the ball. Throw: 82 mph infield velo. Middle infielder arm strength with the ability to throw on the move and from multiple angles. Defensive Projection: 2B. Additional Comments: Well-rounded prospect who has an above average skill set on both sides of the ball/Can impact the game with both the bat and the glove.
