6-foot, 160-pound right-hander, lean frame with room to add size and strength, tempo to delivery as he works from 3/4 arm slot and across his body with lead leg. Fastball had action to both sides of the plate with run and cut at 80-81 mph. Good feel for his off-speed pitches, curveball was 70-72 with 11/5 shape, can get on the side at times, more sweeping action when he does, changeup had arm side fade and kept down in zone at 73-74 mph. Three pitch guy, strike thrower who can get soft stuff over for strikes. More in the tank with his velocity and a big winter could see Zimmerman make a big jump in 2017.

5-foot-11, 155-pound right-hander with lean, long body that projects to add size and strength. Arm is quick and is deceptive as he works across his body and hides the ball well. Strictly out the stretch, Zimmerman repeated delivery and actions well, working from 3/4 arm slot. Stayed down in the zone mostly, throwing all three pitches for strikes. Fastball topped out at 77 mph while curveball was 67 with sweeping actions at times. Would show 10/4 and 11/5 shape, changeup he kept down at 71-72 mph an when out-front and extended would see some run. 2017 righty who throws strikes and has chance to be tough on righties.
