The 5-foot-8, 140-pound right hander has a clean ¾ arm slot with lots of natural downward movement. Roberts has a four-pitch arsenal with a fastball topping at 76 mph with some arm-side run, a curveball at 62-65 mph with 11/5 shape, a firm straight change at 69 mph and a cutter at 71-72 mph with late action. With each pitch able to move a different way, he should give fits to opposing hitters while being able to locate each pitch well.
5-foot-8, 140-pound small frame with room for added development. Over the head delivery, slow tempo with hip turn out of the full windup. Lands flat and online. Arm action works, hides fastball well at 74-76 mph, able to locate. Curveball was 58-60 mph. Needs to throw harder. Shows feel for pitch with proper spin, tendency to slow arm and fly open. Changeup was between 64-67 mph, stayed with pitch and threw around zone, at best when arm speed an extension was involved, created some down action.
