Connor Miller, Valley Catholic High School (OR), 2027
Positional Profile: C/OF
Body: 5-10, 156-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Feet start shoulder width apart, with a open front foot, and weight even on both feet. In the upper half both shoulders are square, hands are shoulder high set in front of the rear shoulder with bat stacked vertically overhands. Simple repeatable mechanics, hands and front foot work in tandem, hands load up and back from frame as front foot shifts weight over rear leg into load. hips coil slightly before flipping open as front foot lands in a closed stance. Hips pull hands through the zone with uphill contact on the ball. Eyes maintain view of the ball until contact with weight staying back through the swing ending with a hard two handed finish. 67.4 mph bat speed with 10 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 95 max exit velocity, averaged 87.0 mph. 353' max distance.
Arm: RH. C-74 mph. Catches the ball while working up into throw down, transfer is high into a short action 3/4 arm release.
Defense: 2.07-2.20 pop times. Works from traditional both knee up stance with chest shifted slightly to angle down the first base line to make throwdowns quicker. Presents target to pitcher near center of strike zone and stick pitches with flexion in the wrist when framing.
ATH: 7.03 runner in the 60. 1.64 and 3.89 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. 24.70 max vertical.
Vizual Edge: 64.11 Edge Score
