As we conclude our summer showcase season, Prep Baseball Oregon continues our series of articles focusing on uncommitted prospects. These lists attempt to highlight some of the top remaining talent in the state, in an effort to promote these players to college coaches and recruiters.
With the player rankings for the Class of 2027 updated in recent weeks, today we unveil our top 10 ranked uncommitted catchers, as of our latest update. Positions are determined by the primary position listed on player profiles. Stay tuned for top ten lists for all positions in the coming weeks.

From 5/27/26... "The Jesuit HS backstop has been exceptional this spring on the offensive side of the baseball. The righthander slashed .392/.457/.759, adding 5 home runs, 10 doubles and 29 RBI this season. A versatile defender at catcher or a corner outfield spot, Vina remains an intriguing uncommitted prospect on the board heading into the summer. Vina's great high school season builds on a standout performance at PNW Preseason All-State, where he posted exit velocities up to 99 MPH and a 1.87 pop time." |

Ryder Carpenter C / OF / Mountain View, OR / 2027Rankings StateRank: 32 / POS: 5
From 8/5/26... "Despite limited action at this year's State Games, Carpenter made his game known during his one day in attendance. At the workout, he displayed improved defensive work with a best pop time of 1.90 seconds. The 6.77 runner also delivered mature BP rounds, staying within himself well and shooting the gaps with balls hit up to 95.6 MPH. In-game, Carpenter blasted a double and a triple in his two plate appearances. The versatile rising senior can make an impact in a variety of ways at the college level." |

From 3/10/26... "Oregon City catcher Dane Boyle posted some massive power numbers at PSAS and will be a bat to monitor as well. A 6'2 210 pound player, Boyle generated massive bat and hand speed numbers, peaking with 87.4 MPH bat speed to drive balls up to 103.6 MPH and 400 feet. The righthander set in a wider stance at the dish, working through an uphill path with strength through contact while staying under control throughout. Boyle also improved his defensive profile as well, moving well with a plus arm resulting in a best pop time of 1.97 seconds. The power upside given the defensive position could play in a big way at the next level and makes Boyle an intriguing prospect to follow." |
